Squatters are a new trend where people move into a new house and do not pay rent for several months and then simply leave. The best way to protect against this is to do a background check. But if you still get into this pickle then here is how to have them out in 20 days.

The process can take as little as 20 days, if the process is started right away. Here is the general process (each State/County/Province may vary):

1. Serve Tenant a 3 to 5 day “Notice to Pay or Quit”. I also include a stern Eviction Consequences Letter outlining the costs that they may incur as a result.
2. If not remedied, file a “Application for Eviction” in your local county court system. There is a cost to this step but it’s cheaper than continuing to lose rent.
3. Have it served by a Process Server or someone other than the Landlord or someone under the Landlord’s employment.
4. A “Return of Service” is completed and returned by the Summons Server. A court date is set 7 to 10 days later.
5. If the tenant wants to fight the action, they will be required to file an “Answer” or “Appearance” before the court date.
6. On the court date, the Judge will decide the outcome and if you are awarded a “Judgement for Restitution”, the Judge will set an eviction date 3 to 7 days hence.
7. If the tenant has not removed themselves, you can file a “Writ of Restitution” with the local Sheriff’s Office whom will remove the tenant.

A Wal-Mart worker died early Friday after an “out-of-control” mob of frenzied shoppers smashed through the Long Island store’s front doors and trampled him, police said.

The Black Friday stampede plunged the Valley Stream outlet into chaos, knocking several employees to the ground and sending others scurrying atop vending machines to avoid the horde.

When the madness ended, 34-year-old Jdimytai Damour was dead and four shoppers, including a woman eight months pregnant, were injured.

While nothing can match the horror of workers getting killed by stupid mobs and shootings in the middle of a Toys R Us, we keep receiving horror tales about other Black Fridays gone wrong. The biggest one is about how CompUSA/Tigerdirect online “sale”—the one with the Sony Vaio TT with a $5,000 discount was apparently a total disaster, according to readers. Update: A guy from the CompUSA “sale” wrote to us. Readers keep posting their stories about other places in the comments.

CompUSA and Tigerdirect

Please let it be known that everything about tigerdirect.com/compusa.com ’s “big” sale was a bust.

First it was not an online sale but a tele-marathon instead. Prices were valid only through phone lines which for half the night were actually dead. When the lines were working i was either on hold for a minimum of 20 min then hung up on or on the one occasion i got through was told that the product i requested was not on sale and then got hung up on. The crew for the live web cast lost video throughout the night.

Browsers were crashing, phones were crashing, all organization was lost. It was just a very unsatisfying experience for having spent 12+ hours tuned in to their product placement and free advertisement and still leaving empty handed. Now i realize everyone cries when they do not get their tickle me elmo but this seemed different.

I felt as though I was lied to. Quantities were not limited but scarce. They were based off donated products a fact that was no where to be seen in the advertisement. I don’t know. It is late, i am tired, and i somehow feel robbed even though i had no chance to spend money. I wrote you so this message did not get lost in the comments. I am a long time tigerdirect promoter but i am reconsidering my loyalty. So please just let me known. That this was a FAIL!

well i know people that went to the compusa.com web site and watched their live stream /pink Friday sale ALL day, essentially they would show an item on sale and give you an 888-444-9×00 number to call to try to order it.

i guess it worked ok until the last few hours when all their computers and cameras went out—they switched to a asus netbook to broadcast the last few items, including the coveted sony vaio TT laptop that lists t $6000, being sold for $999.

yes I tried desperately to call in for that, as did nearly the 5000 people watching…the last few hours had not only the problems with the webcast, but also audio sync, and then problems with the sale 888
phone lines, making it impossible to get through…..we need the net to complain to make compusa do the sale again or just sell more of the sony vaio tt.

The Compusa/Tigerdirect Pink Friday sales where a joke and I question whether or not anyone received any of the high demand products other than staff members and there friends.There where a few products which I had planned on buying mainly: i7 920 processors,x58 mobo’s,Nec projectors,Xbox360….. I had 3 phones auto-dialing the numbers.Since they were basically changing the phone# in sequence ie: 1-888-444-9300,1-888-444-9500,1-888-444-9800 repeat. I had the phones set to start dialing b4 they were put on the screen,as they put the number on the screen,and just after the number was put up. and would receive the “Item is already sold out”,”Please hold” message or would just plain get hung up on.
All in all it was ONE BIG SCAM!

A CompUSA guy wrote a reply to this story. He had this to say:

I also looked all over PinkFriday.org and I now have to agree with some of the customers who are complaining. I don’t believe that the deals and the ways in which they were delivered were explained. They did not say that the deals were only available through the phone and they did not explain that they only had a few units of each item. Perhaps they could have said, “Telethon style giveaways of extremely limited quantities.”

This is a small issue but it seems to have riled up a few people.

My final thought is this: Despite all the frustration and the technical difficulties, despite the fact that the explanation of the event was vague, despite the customer complaints, there were a lot of happy people and there was a ton of money donated to Susan G Komen.

Circuit City

I went to Circuit City to get a videocamera. They didn’t have the $200 JVC one that I really wanted. They didn’t have the $450 HD Samsung (marked down from $850) in stock. And, when I spotted a good $650 HD Sony videocamera, they wouldn’t do a $50 price match to CompUSA.

That’s right – Circuit City was unwilling to do an 8% price match for a customer in store ready to buy. In fact, I didn’t even get a counteroffer. At least a “I can’t do $610 but how about $630?” Is it any wonder they’re going out of business.

Inside a Jiffy Lube on Pico and San Vicente in Los Angeles, a service technician tries to sell an undercover NBC Los Angeles employee an “engine flush” or engine cleaning.

“Engine cleaning every two years, 30,000 miles is required for the vehicle,” the technician says.

But NBC Los Angeles has heard from customers across the country, who say their engines broke down after having an engine flush.

At the Jiffy Lube we went to on Pico, the technician says the engine flush will prolong the life of the engine on our Honda Accord test car.

An engine flush is where they pour a chemical solvent into your engine, supposedly to flush out old sludge.

When our undercover person asks, “is that something that Honda recommends?” Than technician says, “It requires it every two years, every 30,000 miles.”

That’s not true. Our car’s maintenance schedule says nothing about an engine flush.

“After engine flushes, there’s a pretty high incidence of some damage to the interior of the engine,” Chris Martin of Honda tells NBC Los Angeles.

That’s why Honda issued a memo to mechanics advising them not to perform engine flushes. Other major car-makers, including Ford, General Motors, and Nissan have all issued similar advisories against the service.

Why? Over time, gummy deposits can build up inside your engine. The chemicals used for engine flush, are supposed to break up those deposits. But car-makers say, pieces of that broken up sediment can clog up other parts of the engine and ruin it.

The car ran perfectly before I took it in that day,” says Pat Marriott. He took his Nissan Sentra to a Jiffy Lube in Kansas City. “They sold me, really sold me hard on an engine flush,” Marriott tells NBC Los Angeles.

He says three days later, on the highway his car broke down and he had to replace his engine for $5000.

That’s because Nissan and other car-makers say damage resulting from engine flushes won’t be covered by your warranty.

At other Jiffy Lube’s, like one on Overland in West Los Angeles, they offered us other services like a fuel injection cleaning. That’s where they put a chemical cleaner into your fuel injectors.

When the NBC Los Angeles undercover person asked the technician, “does Honda recommend that?” He said, “It’s every 15,000 miles or every year, recommended.”

That’s also not true. Honda and other big car-makers say fuel injection cleaning is an improper repair procedure.

“Using the cleaner, using a fuel injection cleaning system can cause harm to other injectors,” Martin tells NBC Los Angeles.

Jiffy Lube isn’t the only major chain recommending services car-makers say could be harmful. It happened to us at EZ Lube.

When our undercover person asked a technician at one of their locations in Silverlake, “Does Honda recommend an engine flush?” He replied, “They recommend… everything I’m telling you. We go by whatever the manufacturer recommends.”

Our undercover person asks him for proof, since EZ Lube’s computer lists all manufacturer recommendations, but there’s no engine flush listed. The undercover employee asks him, “How come they’re not on the computer?” The technician replied, “I don’t know.”

Across town at an EZ Lube near Santa Monica, technicians push a $99 transmission service using a high tech flushing machine.

Our undercover employee asks the technician, “does Honda recommend that it be done with a machine like that?” The technician responds, “Correct. That’s the only way you can do it.”

But Honda’s memo to mechanics clearly says “do not use transmission flushing machines” because of the risks to the car.

All told four out of five Jiffy Lube’s, and five out of five EZ Lube’s pushed services car-makers don’t recommend, but technicians told us the opposite.

We went back to the manager at that Silverlake EZ Lube.

“You said Honda recommends an engine flush. That’s not true. Why did you say that?” NBC Los Angeles Investigative Reporter Joel Grover asked.

“I don’t know,” he replied.

As for those technicians at Jiffy Lube who didn’t tell us the truth, they wouldn’t talk to us on camera and neither would their bosses.

Executives at Jiffy Lube and EZ Lube declined our offer to watch our undercover tape, and do interviews.

But in separate statements, both companies said it was unacceptable for their employees to misrepresent certain services as manufacturer recommendations, when they’re not.

EZ Lube says some of the employees we caught doing this will be terminated.

Jiffy Lube says they’re taking steps to minimize the chance of it occurring again and they want to hear from any unhappy customers.

Jiffy Lube can be reached by phone at 800-344-6933.

EZ Lube can be reached by phone at 800-559-5823 or email info@ezlube.com.

Police have charged Elizabeth Miller, the manager of the Bed, Bath & Beyond in Lexington, Kentucky, who refused to let a couple use the store’s phone to call 911 to report a three-year-old locked in a van, and refused to make an announcement over the store’s PA system. The charge is “failure to report dependency, neglect and abuse, a Class B misdemeanor that carries a maximum sentence of 90 days and a maximum fine of $250.”

The county attorney quoted in the Kentucky Leader-Herald article points out that common decency should always trump any store policy, misinterpreted or not. In fact, it’s the law!

First Assistant Fayette County Attorney Brian Mattone told the Herald-Leader Thursday that under the duty-to-report statute, everyone has the duty to report dependency, neglect and abuse of a child if they have knowledge of it. Mattone said prosecutors thought that Miller, through witnesses, had knowledge of possible abuse or neglect. Moreover, there is language in the statute that says “nothing should relieve their obligation to report,” Mattone said.

The article also quotes another shopper who says she received a similar response from a different Bed, Bath & Beyond last summer when she saw a dog locked inside a car. Here’s hoping that the company’s “we’re ashamed this happened” response is authentic, and that their employees learn that it’s okay to offer help sometimes.

Business in question :: Dooby restaurant (packwood, WA 98361)

Complaint :: cheating on the quality and quantity of food; lacking sincerity and bad services

Level of upset :: 4

Business in question :: DeWalt Tools & their merchant DHC Supplies Inc., Sac Ca

Complaint :: The above firm out of Rancho Cordova,Ca. sold me a tool package offering a free power tool to be shipped after the sale. THEIR salesman took my info for the free power tool, a router, and turned it in. DHC says I was to mail in for the free tool BUT THEIR PAID EMPLOYEE said he would take care of it for me. He says he turned it in to DHC. They just kept the tool, evidently. The salesman no longer works for them and tried on many occasions to get them to honor their sale to no avail. I personally sent emails and letters to them with no return answer. I complained to the Ca. Dept of Consumer Affairs, they said to contact Ca. Dept of Justic, which I have. I never receieved it and DeWalt Tools nor DHC really gives a dang. It was just a $100 to $120. loss. Beware of dealing with either DHC or DeWalt when the promise you will get something free after the sale. They ripped me off. I have tried everything to get my tool but no one cares!
and doubt you can help but just want to warn others. Their phone number is 916-383-2024. tks Ron

Level of upset :: 4

Business in question :: Oskaloosa Motors

Complaint :: I used to work for the company. They refused to give me my last paycheck, I won my case in court but still havent received my paycheck. I was a sales person, and i was told on numerous occasions to lie to the customers. They manipulate, smooth-talk, and lie to customers. They exaggerate repairs, and do a cheap job on repairing vehicles. Very bad business.

Business in question :: Rent-A-Center

Complaint :: Rent-a-Center is a company I would suggest staying away from. Other than the incredibly high interest rates you pay, their employees are the rudest, most insulting and flat out worst it has ever been my absolute displeasure to deal with.

They offer you what appears to be a reasonable price for products then you find out about the un acheivable interest rates. I guarentee you will pay triple for anything you rent to own there.
If you choose to rent from them and are ever late on a payment, even one and only by a day or even a few hours they become harassing, insulting and rude. They will call and harass not only you but any references you include in you app, every day, multiple times a day. They are threatening, will out right call you a theif, accuse you of stealing, threaten to file warrants (which they can’t do) and show up at homes and places of business.
On several occasions rent-a-center employees have attempted to enter homes of customers who are late on payments looking for merchandise. They will open unlocked doors and have used entry tools to attempt to by-pass locked ones. This happened not only to me but to several people I personally know.
Stay away from this company. It would be better for everyone if they went out of business.

Business in question :: Red Rock Corporate Solutions

Complaint :: My horible experience started when I was listening to a live radio program on AM 720. were I found my self listening to a man who calls himself the expert of business. This man claimed to be a big executive with Coca Cola in the 80s and helped save the company from going bankrupt(ALL LIES).

He also said he was friends with Donald Trump and put togther a deal for him to buy the miss usa competition. His ego kept him throwing out famous names and big businesses he helped. Even the famous Anthony Robbins is his personal friend he claimed he mentors Anthony on all his business deals. Needless to say I was a sucker I thought this guy was real. He said his name was Jon Montijo the ceo of Red Rock Corporate solutions. He explained his company was a law firm THAT STATEMENT WAS INCORRECT AND IS ACTUALLY ILLEAGLE.

He said the attorney general was the head attorney that I later found out doesnt even have an office at red rocks location. He claimed to also have a CPA division whom I notcied was not even a real licenced CPA his name was Chris provensano and he was the only tax person (some division). When I called to set up a meeting they told me I would be meeting with an advisor. My first meeting was with a good looking young man who to this day I feel was excellent in explaining the corporation program and I spent about $3000 dollars that day not the $298. I then was called about 3 months later to attend a corporation credit seminar. I was at this seminars I meet the master liar Jon montijo this man has grey hair about 5ft tall and flashes around his fancy suit. He introduced himself to me and explained how he would personal mentor my business in the key areas of operations sales and finance.

I took a look at this mans fancy suit and high promises and agreed to pay to meet have him personaly mentoring my company. I spent over $10,000 with this man and quickly I realized he didnt know anything he was talking about all he wanted was more money. Then when we explained that we thought he was full of shit! He never returned our call or gave us our money back. We then began to investigate the Jon Montijo and found that he has quit a colorful background working for companies that have been shut down by the FBI or are currently under investigation. We also have family that Runs the human resources division with Coca Cola and they have no record of this Jon Montijo ever working for coke.

My husand and I have asked a gentleman from the Department of Justice who is heading a case in las vegas against a company Jon Montijo helped run a few years ago. We asked him about Red Rock Corporate Solutions and he said if there are others like me that he would personaly deal with this Jon Montijo. I had the impression he already was aware of his scams. On the other hand I must be fair to say other than Jon montijo the companies employees did seem to good people. it is just a shame the leader of that company is a crack pot scam aritist. PLEASE IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION ON THIS JON MONTIJO PLEASE POST YOUR COMMENTS AND CALL THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE.

Business in question :: Freepay Gratis Internet ( giftcards.freepay.com)

Complaint :: Right i’m complaining abbout company called freepay which is a referral based company. you sign up to their website complete a sponsered offer ( e.g rent some dvd’s on a free trial) get a certain number of friends to do the same and then once all the requirements are complete you get to order your free gift in this case its a £150 giftcard ( they have about 10 sites all together which free gifts range from latops to handbags…)well before christmas you had as much time as you wanted to complete the requirements on march the 1st or around then they decided they’d make it slightly harder and add a 90 day timeframce to everyones account. I thought fair enough i should still be able to do it and i did. Also when they added the timeframe they added that you had to send an approval form which you had to print off their website fill it in and send it all the way to american me being from the uk) this cost me a £4.50 ( before the changes in march you didn’t have to send a form just click a button on their website.) well i placed my order on the 16th may and then i recieved this email (i’ve attached half of it as i couldn’#t fit it all on and other bits weren’t relevant.) saying that mot orders are shipped within 1-2 weeks. also on another page of your account you use to be able to hover over a the processing button and it would say processing usually takes 7-10 now its been removed. and just says your account is being processed. well i’ve been waiting nearly 3 months for my giftcard to even change status on my account surely if i can complete the site in 90 days they can ship my giftcard within 90 days looks like tey can’t. I’d completed 2 of their websites one to get a XBO360 aswell (xbox360s.freepay.com) and i manage to get my 360 out of them through the help of the bbb better business bureau i’ve attached part of the letter as i said with the other image i can’t fit them all on so attached the main bits.its i can’t see the point of them sending that letter if they say they’ll ship both my items when they don’t keep promises and have only shipped 1 item. i’m still waiting for about 6 replied on my account from their support team dateing bak from the 28th july i think. i don’t know wht to do i’ve contacted the bbb again but they aren’t replying due to the mass number of complaints they are now getting from people like me. check out gratis internets report if yu like (http://www.dc.bbb.org/report.html?national=Y&compid=1035561) they’ve had 288 complaints in the last 12 months. i am just one of thousands of people waiting for products from this company. hope you can help. if you need any more evidence just ask i know a whole forum of people who are waiting for gifts like me some have been waiting nearly 5 month from tom.

Complaint :: I called cingular because I upgraded my calling plan and i wasn’t able to check on line my current usage.
I called them and the CS rep told me that their system don’t show accurate information when you have upgrade your calling plan, so if I go over my minutes, I’ll never know becuase the system don’t show it, and there is no way for them to tell how many minutes I have left of my calling plan.
Then by reviewing my used minutes and detailed calls I notice that they charge me for calls that I didn’t answered because I was on the line or simply I didn’t want to.
Guess what Houston????
They told me that calls longer than 30 seconds are billed to you regardless if you answer or not.
If this is not a scam, then I don’t know what to call it.
So I guess there’s nothing you can really do about it. I’m just waiting to be out of contract and I’m canceling the 4 lines we have under family plan.

Business in question :: MLB.com

Complaint :: I ordered a jersey as a gift order on the 25/12/05 from the MLB.com online shop which was subsequently lost on the way. I am an international customer and as you could imagine, contacting MLB has cost me a LOT of money in international phone calls as they do not like to call their customers back. After 1 month of them looking into where the package was and numerous phone calls I was credited with the amount minus the conversion fees and thought,”it could only happen once” and stupidly re-ordered again, and what do you know? The address is now “undeliverable” and on it’s way back to the shop.

The second order consisted of a jersey as well as 2 other items that were shipped as 2 seperate packages. Upon contacting them I was responded to with “You will get a credit back”, obviously not a good enough response as I obviously wanted to purchase the item as a gift. If I wanted the money back, I wouldn’t have purchased it in the first place, was it so hard for them to actually contact the delivery company and find out what the hell was going on since the first package in the second delivery actually arrived? On demanding to speak to a manager called “DANA” and demanding her to contact the delivery company, she just gave me the same story, and would “e-mail” me back with another useless response. As a company, is it not their right to respond to customer enquiries and try to help as much as possible? “DANA” stated that I would have to contact the delivery company myself and try and track it! If they treated all their customers like this, would their company even exist?

I advised her that “I did not want a credit” and that all I wanted was for the item to get to the recipient. “Once the item comes back to the warehouse, you will have to re-order again” was her response. To me, that says that they are basically unprepared to make a commitment to the customer that the item would be delivered and would rather just refund you and sweep you under the rug. “Well once the package comes back to you, can’t you just use Express Post next day delivery so the package gets there?”, and you can only guess what her response was.

I am disgusted with the level of customer service that was provided as I, myself work in the same field of customer service. This company is an absolute joke, and if anyone purchases anything from their online shop I can advise you to *cross your fingers* and only pray that your item gets there as the customer service representatives are absolutely useless and unwilling to help at all.

Business in question :: PayPal

Complaint :: PayPal cost me an overdraft.

PayPal has cost me about $24.00 in overdraft and other expenses. This is the first time in 37 years that I have had an overdraft at my bank. I am mad at PayPal and infuriated with their aggravating practice of asking me if I really want to use a credit card to pay. YES, I ALWAYS want to use a credit card to pay. This nag screen process has also cost PayPal my respect.

Exasperated, I removed my checking account information so PayPal will not be able to provoke me this way again.

D**n you for slanting your payment process in preference of bank draft payments.

D**n you for not being fair enough to inform your customers that they risk an overdraft if they use an electronic draft from their bank.

Business in question :: Talk America

Complaint :: Consumers Beware:

Do not fall for TalkAmerica’s television ads. They are misrepresenting their pricing grossly. On an account that is grandfathered in at $29.95 a month (started when they started the company and that was never supposed to change) there are taxes of $7.95 per month (expected) as well as service charges of $24.72 per month (not expected and rising monthly).
They are not cheaper than SBC/AT&T as they state. Their repair service is done by SBC so you get treated as a second class citizen because you are not paying SBC for the service (all of their customers complaints & repairs come first and you can wait up to 10 days for service with no credits for the time of poor and/or no service). The lines belong to SBC and Talk America rents them from SBC (this is what the service charge is for) and the price is rising per representatives at SBC/AT&T. When disconnected at my request it takes them 20 days to disconnect and then the prorated bill was for 13 days or 1/3 month which took it from $63.78 to $51.22 (they do not prorate the taxes or the service charge, therefore the credit is only $12.56). Our first bills 6 years ago when we signed up were $32.00 a month and now they are $63.78, so much for being grandfathered in (their wording). This company is a total rip off, no exaggeration!

Complaint :: I ORDERED FLOWERS FOR MY WIFE ON VALENTINES DAY. THEY WERE NOT DELIVERED TO HER OFFICE SO WE CALLED THEIR 800# TO SEE WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ORDER. THE GUY (JUSTIN?) FROM THEIR OFFICE CALLED THE LOCAL FLORIST SHOP THAT WAS TO DELIVER THE ORDER. THE LOCAL SHOP SAID THEY HAD NOT RECEIVED THE ORDER AND THAT WAS WHY IT WAS NOT DELIVERED. THE JUSTIN SAID WE WOULD BE ISSUED A CREDIT WHILE WE WERE ON THE PHONE WITH HIM. THAT EVENING I HAD TO GO OUT AND TRY TO FIND MY WIFE FLOWERS. HAVE YOU EVER TRIED TO FIND ROSES AT 8PM ON VALENTINES DAY? IT’S ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE. AFTER HOURS OF DRIVING AND CALLING I FINALLY LOCATED A PLACE THAT WAS STILL OPEN. FLOWERS.COM DIDN’T SEEM TO HAVE ANY TROUBLE DEDUCTING MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT IN A TIMELY AND EFFICIENT MANNER. IT TOOK 10 DAYS AND SEVERAL PHONE CALLS AND EMAILS BEFORE CREDIT WAS ISSUED. DURING THE 10 DAY ORDEAL WE WERE CHARGED $60.00 IN OVERDRAFT FEES WHICH DUE TO HAVING TO GO ON THE ABOVE MENTIONED QUEST FOR FLOWERS NOT KNOWING THAT CREDIT WS NOT ISSUED AS PROMISED HAD CAUSED. THEY HAVE MADE NO ATTEMPT TO RESOPOND TO PHONE CALLS OR RETURN EMAILS TO RECONCILE THIS MATTER. IF YOU ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO MAKE IT THROUGH THE QUE AND GET TO TALK TO A HUMAN THEY PUT YOU ON HOLD AND LEAVE YOU THERE TILL YOU HANG UP(30+ MINUTE HOLD TIMES) AND THAT IS IF THEY DON’T JUST HANG UP ON YOU CLAIMING TO TRY TO TRANSFER YOU..

Complaint :: My mother cancelled her discover card a long time ago and Discover Card calls at least 10 times a day if not more. Including NIGHTS, DAYS, EARLY MORNINGS, WEEKENDS, & HOLIDAYS. They ask for her cell phone number and her work number; where she is, what time she will be home; who i am, what my name is; among other things….they have been harrassing us EVERY DAY for SEVERAL months now, but it IS GOING TO STOP soon. Just wait. Do business with them at your own risk. Oh and they also ask me why i’m being rude when i answer the phone, gee maybe they should ask themselves that question!

Business in question :: CS Soundoff

Complaint :: I ordered and paid for a remote for a car alarm with CS Soundoff in Byram, Ms., over 3 weeks ago. every time I call, for almost a month now, they keep telling me that its not delivered yet, and they will call me when it gets in. now, after almost a month, and taking over 2 weeks for the check to clear, I still do not have this remote. Never again will I do business in a place where you pay for something, and almost a month later, still dont have it. they keep saying the product is backordered, but this excuse gets old and worn out.

Business in question :: Clickbank

Complaint :: I bought an e-book and submitted my payment on-line to clickbank. I was promised a refund if my dogs behavior didn’t change. I requested a refund, I was asked to provide some information so I did just that. I recieve another e-mail telling me I need to provide this information, so again I supply all the information, I recieve another e-mail telling me in order for them to give me a refund I need to prove them with this information so for the third time I give them the information and I took it a step further I contacted clickbank.com and explained the situation I recieve an e-mail response if you supply us with this information we will pass it on to the appropriate people because they don’t do the refunds.
I am a bit ticked off first I was promised a refund and the games that clickbank is playing oh they were all to eager to take my money but when they need to refund it I get the run around.

Business in question :: Morrow Ford Lincoln Mercury in Beaver Falls, PA

Complaint :: Sold me a supposed Ford-Backed “Smart Choice” Warranty for $1,500 which I was told would cover any needed repairs for a period of 7 years. I had a problem in the 4th year. I was basically told by Morrow “Sorry, the Smart Choice Warranty” was subbed out to a company that went out of business a while back, you’re out of luck. We can’t honor the warranty nor can we refund the initial amount paid.” I’m out $1,500 just like that w/ no recourse- Ford Motor company washed their hands of it as well by saying, “All Ford dealerships are independently owned and operated, we can’t get involved with anything involving warranties sold through a dealership.” I’m beyond upset!

Business in question :: Sandy’s Magic Touch Cleaners

Complaint :: I took my vintage rug into the cleaners to have it dry cleaned. After 2 months of not being able to get it from them, they told me they lost it. It is irreplacable as it has been in my family forever, but they gave me $200 for the loss and I bought a new “cheap” rug. I went into their store the other day to pick up a skirt that had been left there and the woman working told me they actually have my rug. She showed it to me and said that the manager was going to sell it to this oriental rug cleaner for $350 because it was such a neat antique. I told them I want it back now because it is mine and they want me to pay them for it. I told them that I used the $200 already to buy a new rug which the store won’t take back now that I’ve been using it. So I am out the $200 for the rug I bought thinking mine was “lost” when really the cleaners were trying to sell it on the side. Now I am going to have to buy back my own property from them. I don’t want this to happen to anyone else, especially when they drop off a personal item that has sentimental value like I did.

Business in question :: Granite Works (St. Louis, MO)

Complaint :: Signed agreement for new granite countertops in kitchen. They raised price and said their product wouldn’t fit, but refused to refund $1,340 deposit.

Reported to Better Business Bureau and MO. Attorney General. BBB has multiple similar complaints on this company.

Level of upset :: 4

Business in question :: Carmen’s concrete & tile in Chicago

Complaint :: Over the summer I had some renovations done to my home. They included some concrete work. The sales person came out gave me the speel & I was sold. & VERY disappointed at what it actual was. It was just a concrete overlay. About 1/16th thick. They were also suppose to fix a step that was damge & some cracks. Well not only did they have do do the job more than once. They didn’t do a very good job at all. The sidewalk underneath was solid concrete & was in separate sections wiht visible lines. This company went right over that, never minding this fact & now it’s cracking in those areas. To add salt to the wound there is a crack in the front over 1/4 inch wide & over 2 ft long & the stair they “repaired” is ALSO cracking & looks like if someone were to step on it it would break right off.
I did what ANYONE what do & called the company, afterall the work is “guarenteed”.
Well 7 calls later & NO RESPONSE! NOTHING!
Not even a concerned courtesy call. Now I have to worry about someone getting injured on that stair in front, probably going to have to call an attorney & notify better business & attorney general’s office & go through a huge hassle over something that I’m positive is completely rectifiable.
I would recommend to ALL NEVER to use this com[pany even for their smallest jobs. They are a rip off , do not honor contract & have horrible customer service.

Level of upset :: 4

Business in question :: MCI phone service

Complaint :: I had switched from Verizon to MCI after being sick of paying high bills. I switch on Nov. 9th 2005 and recieve a phone call from MCI on Dec. 23 2005 telling me I have to pay the balance on my bill NOW unless they will shut me off. I had recieved my bill only a week before and it was not due for another 8 days. They say I NO LONGER have an account with them but I still owe them money for the days I was NOT a customer?????? They blamed the switch on Verizon. It WASN’T Verizon that made the switch MCI allowed someone other than myself to switch long distance but yet still wanting a payment from me. Needless to say, they shut me off in 30 min for NO REASOn. Even Verizon had said what they were doing was AGAINST THE LAW. EXTREMELY LONG story short and 3 and 1/2 hrs. later, I had to switch back to verizon because out of 7 and yes I said 7 reps from MCI 4 said I was not a customer and 3 said I was. They had NO IDEA what the hell they were saying . Leaving us all baffled. This issue is still not yet resolved.

Business in question :: Hubbs Insurance Company

Hubbs Insurance Agency Greenville, Mi. AKA Michigan MIllers…
Hold onto your seats for this one.
I had the company for 2 days , they call and say OOOPPS! We found a ticken, your rates will go up, hmmm. why wasn’t that there BEFORE I signed papers?? Next problem, I take a 3 rd vehicle off from my plan my insurance went UP on my most expensive vehicle. Figure that one out. Then I had noticed they were charging us for a expired drivers license which is a civil infraction NOT points on your license and they listed this once again ON THE MOST EXPENSIVE VEHICLE, when the ticket was issued on a vehicle in the yr of 1995 not 2001, Lastly I had it; I called to cancel. They cancel me 2 wks. to early. I was unaware of it , when I did become aware of it , I called the owner at home on a saturday at 1:00 in the afternoon, ( no other line available for me to contact for info) to ask if she was sure we were still covered and that they didn’t make a mistake. She comes into MY workplace 3 days later , yells at me in front of the whole staff asking me if I have been talking behing her back, yes people, she was an insurance agent and she came to me with this attitude, making a scene. She screams and tells me was I was covered no matter what blah, blah and then guess what 2 days later she sends me a reinstatment notice.I WAS without coverage and she had lied to me while yelling at me at my workplace. What happened to customer service? To , “Hey, what is worng and how can I fix it? she sure did not do this. A verbal attack is Not a way to keep a customer. I will never deal with her and plan on putting in a complaint against her for coming to my place of work and yelling at me.weird. I am a stylist and I know I would NEVER do this to a customer.

Level of upset :: 3

Business in question :: Blue Haven Pools aka Diving Lady in Az

Complaint :: Here it is short and sweet. Bought a pool from blue haven. Said it would take 45 days or they would pay $50 a day. Said they had the best service, craftsmanship and equipment. After contract was signed i was completely disregarded. Pool took over 2 months to layout. Attempted several calls to various people no pickup only voicemail and no returned messages. Finally got through my making the secretary go get someone and put them on the phone. This repeated through every phase of the pool along with them having to redo several stages because the work was done improperly. I have been in contact with 2 construction coordinators, a director of processing, director of construction, sales manager, and several others included the general manager who seems to be the actual owner. It seems blue havens are independently owned like franchises but pay a fee to diving lady, inc. to operate as a national corporation. Trying to get someone at this level is so far impossible. It has now been six months pool is not near completion still no responses, pool and equipment look bad. Also let me add that i have been in contact with other customers and ALL that ive talked to, not just most or some, have had similar experiences. I have had pools built before and i know its a rough process sometimes, but this is absurd. Several neighbors have had pools built after mine and they are swimming already in a third of the time. Also if you look at the better business bearau they have stated that they have been unable to comply with multiple complaints against them. Also check out az registrar of contractors.

Business in question :: HP, Lexmark, Hewlett-Packard,

HP Officejet 6110 All-in-One

HP and lexmark printers are amazingly bad, I have gone through 3 6110 All-in-One units and 2 lexmark units over the last 6 years. I have had more headaches and problems with these systems I could not start to explain.

If I could turn back the clock I would spend more money on a printer that is was more reliable.

I am going to smash this HP 6110 All-in-One much like office space and go by a cannon for about 1/3rd more and be happy about.

Business in question :: gary bang harley davidson, atascadero, ca

Complaint :: we took our bike to gary bang’s as it was cutting out. after locking us out of the garage they came back and said it was a bad fuel line ($ 167.00)Ithey gave us the fuel line and we see it is defective with a small hole in it. they would not charge it to the warranty, even though it’s still under warranty.when we argued, they coped an attitude and kicked us out saying the bike was fixed. after riding the bike for an hour, we still had the same problem, throttle locking, no fuel getting to the engine etc. we took it back 1 day later, they kicked us out of the garage, said there is something wrong, but it’s not showing on the computer. we asked to document on the original receipt that the bike was not fixed (we paid for nothing) they would not and physically showed us out. Gary bang has a major attitude with most people. he has ripped off friends of ours (from clothes, jewelery, gift certificates, ordering, purchases of bikes, and repairs) Typically if you buy everything from him for your bike, he’s ok, but if you buy the bike from him then put harley parts on it (not purchased from him) he becomes very abusive. I want everyone who reads this to boycot gary bang. he will rip you off every chance he gets. i personally tried to buy a used bike from him and he wouldn’t let me sit on it, much less start it up without buying it first. IF YOU DO BUSINESS AT BANGS YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF, AND LEAVE WITH MORE THAN A BAD TASTE IN YOUR MOUTH. SANTA MARIA & WARRENS IS WELL WORTH THE DRIVE. THEY ARE A STRAIGHT UP BUSINESS

Business in question :: VERIZON TELEPHONE

Complaint :: Verizon Telephone Services states that they have the best services in town! Vomit! You can not speak to a person that is alive. Everything is a computor and they make you jump through so many hoops that after 45minutes you eventually give up.

Get this! after you finally get through to where a “customer service representative” is finally supposed to answer, you still wait another 15minutes then THEY HANG UP ON YOU!
I regret haveing told them I have a disability, because now I have to go through their “disability representative” ALWAYS! so that means waiting even longer! they said that its because they are giving personal service. They have it written down on their computor, so if ever I do get a representative, they will transfer you to the disability section and again you have to wait for the “next representative”. They do not have the courtesy to even say “I will need to transfer you”.
Forget it!I have not reached a customer represtative for several months now.

BOTTOM LINE: VERIZON STINKS! I can hardly wait until another phone company comes in and boots them out. I WILL SHUT MY SERVICE AND USE MY CELL!

Business in question :: Toshiba

Complaint :: I bought a toshiba satellite laptop about 2 years ago, since then it has broken down multiple times. I hardly ever used it, and when i did start using it, it kept breaking down. It was under warranty, so i kept getting it fixed, but it was of no use. If i got it fixed, it would again break down about a week later. i feel that i have brought a piece of junk. I have called toshiba multiple times, but they refuse to replace it, or give me my money back. There is a class action lawsuit on this computer and has been for about 1 year and they refuse to do anything about my problem until it gets resolved. what am i suppossed to do in the mean time? I have a college student, and i do not have another $1400 sitting around my apartment. the unwillingness to help me shown by the toshiba staff, has caused me great annoyance and has been a major problem since all school documents have to be typed these days. ever day i find myself going to the library and staying there till odd hours of night, because i don’t have a working computer at home. i don’t even live on campus, can you imagine how much time and gas has been wasted because of their bad business ethics! I am really disappointed in toshiba, and i am extreamly mad that their company has no ethics! they sold me a piece of junk, and now refuse to return my money or give me another laptop. I wish there was something i could do so I can just get a working computer, and not have to put up with their nonsense anymore.

Complaint :: If your’ looking for the biggest ‘modeling’ scam in NJ – look no further – INDUSTRY MODELS AND TALENT STUDIOS – previously known as NIJAH MODELS AND TALENT – located at 115 River Road – Studio 9 – in Edgewater NJ – has been the prime location to throw thousands of you well earned dollars away on the promise of a ‘career’ in the beauty and entertainment field. Since 2/2004, this company has fronted many guises; posing as a modeling agency, a casting agent, a model scout and a portfolio house. After being approached by a scout from a ’scouting team’ at your local mall, boardwalk, beach or park – you are invited to interview at INDUSTRY in which you are told fabricated stories about your potential in the fashion and entertainment industry – and at 5′2″ and 150 lbs. I can see where my type is in major demand – Please! – Before you know it – you have spent $1250.00 on a photo shoot – which includes hair and makeup and only 2 rolls of film – that’s not even 72 exposures! For that money I could get 2 full portfolios in NYC by a real fashion photographer! I waited 7 hours in a minute waiting room with 14 other ‘model’ potentials and was worked on by an overworked and exhausted make up team and photographers. The main woman who interviewed me – Grace Adele – whose background in Fashion is non existent as with all the rest of the ‘directors’ (sales people), was adamant about my paying by credit card immediately – also explaining that for an extra $450.00 – I could also get 100 digital computer print out comp cards – (For that much money you get 1000 on offset printing in NYC) – for an extra $1500.00 my headshot would be placed online and that for an extra $4000.00 – $6000.00 I could become part of the IMTA – which IINDUSTRY and their mother ship – NEW FACES in Long Island – is affiliated. After my shoot – Ms. Adele never recognized me or even remembered my name – of course not – she’s already got her commission on me – and after being told to call for work and go-sees – well guess what? There aren’t any! This place needs to be closed and anyone reading this must spread the word – Trust me – you can’t afford not to!
