Level of upset :: 4 Business in question :: Bank of America Complaint :: Out of the blue Bank of America did not accept my business stamp endorsement after several rounds with the issuing client to ensure that the check was correctly written with LLC at the end of the name. Even after everything was corrected, Bank of America refused to cash the check because they said that they could not verify that I deposited it, BUT I used my pin number, full business name, and the business stamp THEY issued me. This check totalled over $5,000, and they "readjusted" business account causing serious accounting problems with my company. There seems to be nobody with common sense examining the issue, and given the excellent history of my account, denying the check was completely inappropriate! I would like a link to my business site to make the problem more visible: http://www.abctranslations.com/bank-of-america.aspx Level of upset :: 3 Business in question :: Bank of America Complaint :: I got charged $30 for a stop payment on a $20 check. I did this online and they seem to intentionally make it difficult to find actual fee totals online (just some lame, vague paragraph). Anyway, just a warning to others to make sure you contact BS of A prior to doing any transaction online and make sure you know what they are going to do with YOUR money! Level of upset :: 1 Business in question :: Bank of America Visa Card Complaint :: "My Bank of America Visa Card from 2002 until the end of 2005 had a minimum monthly payment of two percent, or for my balance about $40. On January 1, 2006 the bank raised my minimum monthly payment almost double, to around $75. Social security is my only income and I could not pay the extra amount monthly. Since January of 2006 I have continued making the monthly payments of about $41. Now, Bank of America claims I have accumulated $718 in penalties and additional charges. The bank raised the interest rate on the card from 7.9 percent to 31.7 percent. I do not see in the Bank of America Cardholder Agreement for my card authorization to increase the monthly payment, raise the interest rate or charge late fees for not paying their new monthly minimum. Not paying the monthly minimum is NOT late payment. They are charging me each month a late payment fee ($39) for not paying their new minimum. Lawlessness? Loan Sharking? Halfback" Level of upset :: 4 Business in question :: B of A Complaint :: On May 1, 2006, I made a $200 deposit in a BOA account. The deposit, a check I wrote myself from another BOA account. 57 days later, I get the attached letter saying they lost my deposit. I presented the cancelled check and the trailing transaction. 14 days later and still no credit. Level of upset :: 4 Business in question :: BofA Complaint :: Hi, I like your site and would like to start a chain link with you on exposing these jerks for what the are. Let me know if you are interested. Level of upset :: 4 Business in question :: Bank of America Complaint :: This bites the dust. I am very tired of the BULLS*T. There has not been a single instance that any of my deposits through the ATM have cleared without problems. I worked for a company who paid me once a month. So you can image the amount of the check (over 2,000.00). Everytime I deposited the check I was told that it had a 10 business day hold because it was an out of state business check. Not only I have to wait 30 days to get paid, I had to wait and extra 10 to get my money. This went on for over 6 months until I decided to get another job and then I had direct deposit. Now, my wife and I have seperate checking accounts from two different banks. Mine of course is BofA and her's WAMU. I get a check from her every two weeks to cover other expenses in our household and sure enough, BofA will not clear the check until 7 to 10 business days. Their excuse now is that it is a personal check and it needs to go to the central processing center for clearing. Never mind it has my last name and the same home address as my account, still have to wait. Just a couple of days ago I deposited a Bank check from Countrywide Home Loans for funds they owed me. Today I get a notice online stating that it has been returned back to us because My wife's name is on the check and not on my checking account. Never mind that my name is the first name on it and I never had a deposit go bad or returned, never mind they did not bother to call to come into the branch and have her show her ID, they still returned the check. Every week we have some sort of direct depsoit going to my account and yet still this date they play this crazy game of not clearing deposits on time. Even when I deposit cash at 9:00AM it still does not clear until 6:00PM on the following day. There must be a way to get them in court or expose them nationaly. I am willing to participate if someone knows how to start it. I want to know how, don't you? Thanks Level of upset :: 4 Business in question :: Complaint :: I have (but not for very much longer) a BofA credit card. I have paid my bills on time, I TOOK the payment down to THE BANK ON the due date at 2:45pm. I noticed it had the next days date on payment slip. Well come to find out if I don't make the payment before 2:00 pm on the due date they post it to the following day and consider it late! So because BofA considered 2:45pm 7/12 late rather than to 2:00pm 7/12 I am paying a $39.oo late fee! When I asked how can you do this, it is not the close of business on the due date I was told if I had a BofA checking accout (I only have a BofA credit card) I could transfer money and would not be charged the late fee! With this Kind of service they want me to keep more money with them! Not in this life time!!!! Level of upset :: 4 Business in question :: Bank of America Complaint :: Started a new business. Opened a business account. Had personal account for over 20 years. Upon recieving payment from my first customers, I deposited the checks and was not told they would be putting holds on the deposits. Long story short, accounts snowballed and OD's charged. I have had the account since January, it's now July. I deposited a 900.00 check from a large company to the account last Monday. They put a hold on it. Wrote on the deposit slip funds would be available today. I need to buy supplies and get work done for two customers I put on hold over the weekend until funds available. Guess what, they aren't giving me the money until 5PM. I just lost two customers AND just got told from the company that gave me the check that the funds cleared out of their account last Friday so Bank Of America is holding my money until they see fit to give it to me, costing me business. Oh and I almost forgot, I deposited another check last week that was drawn on a Bank Of America account and they slapped a hold on that one too until I started screaming loud enough for bank officer to come over and remove the hold. They claim its how you manage your account, but they cause the ODs and continue to hang you up. DO NOT OPEN A BUSINESS ACCOUNT WITH THEM. They will bury you. They also wont cash the checks either, as they are made out to my company and not me personally. They are putting me out of business. Does anyone know how to sue these guys? They are ripping off the little guy and no one can stop them. As soon as they give me my money, I am closing accounts and going elsewhere. Level of upset :: 4 Business in question :: Complaint :: I was charged $35.00 PROCESSING FEE for a check that the bank didn't even cover. I was $30.00 short of the check amount and usually BOFA pays it and then charges me the nice 35 for covering the shortage but this time they let it bounce and charged me anyway. So now i have to pay the store that i bounced the check to as well as BOFA. I called and complained to the customer service department but that's like talking to a wall, they just state that IT'S IN THE CONTRACT. For all I know, there's something in the contact that states they can have my house upon signing!!!RIDIC Level of upset :: 4 Business in question :: Bank of America Complaint :: Much like the other indivduals I have a similar complaint. We had a $100.00 cash deposit made into our account on Tuesday to make sure we would not overdraft. On Wednesday, that deposit was in PENDING status. I went grocery shopping (wed) and still had a good $40.00. Thursday morning comes and the $100.00 deposit is gone. I now have a -25.00 balance which will cause 2 overdrafts. On top of this, the grocery debit is listed ahead of 2 other transactions that took place earlier in the week (mon & tues) causing 2 more overdrafts. Now, it is Noon....and the $100.00 deposit is back in pending..but now these A Holes have it dated for TODAYS DATE. WTF? so now my account says $75.00, but the overdrafts are still there...which means by tomorrow I will have about $11.00.....unless of course one of those disapperead pending debits pops up tomorrow (you know which ones I mean). This is not the first time this has happened to me, but I thought there would be no problems with a cash deposit...why exactly do you need to verify CASH??? If anyone has any information on how to expose these scam artists for who they are please let me know Level of upset :: 4 Business in question :: customer service reps very rude Complaint ::
