Complaint :: I read my same story on this website. I had items clear my account and the next day I checked my account and they cleared a large check before these already cleared items and caused me to incurr 4 overdraft charges $34 each. The next day I checked my account and I had a pending item that had not cleared yet and the charged me another overdraft charge of $34 and when I called they said that they charged me because even though the pending item did not clear until the next day it caused my account to be overdraw while pending so in other words I was charge two overdraft charged for the same transaction. I also emailed them and was told that they clear items from highest to lowest so more important items can clear firs. They only do that to overdraw your account so they can charge you more fees. When I called they were rude and said sorry we can't help you.

Complaint :: We got a Bank of America Credit card. The credit limit is $8700. True we came close to the limit. The minimum payments to begin with were about $40 to $50 for about $6000 on the account. Then we get to almost the limit and the payment goes up to over $200. I pay by phone on the due date and then I get my next statement which states that I am over $100 over the limit and owe the monthly fee of close to $400. I call and they say I have a late fee plus my interest rate is now 30%.

How can they charge this amount? It used to be considered usuary?

When I told the CSR I was going to go to the Attorney General of NY state, he hung up on me.

I can't afford the minimum payment. now what do I do?

Complaint :: So i've heard that's if you want your credit card interest reduced ask...and threaten to leave well that's what I tried with bank of america. I was treated rudely by cust. service being passed from one phone number to the next...even told by one rep. that my account didn't exist with them because it was so dilinquent that I needed to call the account recovery number to find my account..the next rep didn't understand why I was told that..but then regarding my question for a intrest rate reduction they transfer me to the spanish dept..opps are they just laughing at me by now? I plead with the rep for help and he seems nice then but does zip to understand my needs...I explain that I just can't afford the minimum payment...he says "if you just pay more every month the balance will go down" if I could pay more I wouldn't be calling I say... when I asked to speak his supervisor I was told that the rate I had was the best they could give me? and then told to call yet another number for help...i'm at the point of tears now and want to give up...now i'm looking where to send a letter to for this ridiculous treatment to customers. The next thing i'm doing is closing my account with them!

Complaint :: I have been a loyal and productive loan consultant for almost 9 years with Fleet and Bank of America. Recently my wife underwent cancer surgery and my production suffered as a result of responsibilities at home, as I discussed with the current management. It is unfortunate the Bank of America management finds it necessary to terminate me because of my wife’s condition.

I hope that no one at the bank has to go through this kind of despicable action
